Govt to spend 1 tln rbl from National Wealth Fund to cover deficit

MOSCOW, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has ordered the government to spend 1 trillion rubles from Russia’s National Wealth Fund to cover the federal budget deficit in 2022, the government said in a ruling published on Thursday.

The fund, designed to secure Russia’s pension system, fell by 1.1 trillion rubles in September to 10.8 trillion rubles as of October 1, the Finance Ministry said earlier.
